Project Lifesaver |
Project Lifesaver is a program through the Atlantic County Sheriff's Department, which aims to protect individuals with Alzheimer's who wander. By relying on radio technology and specially trained search and rescue teams, Project Lifesaver gives peace of mind to caregivers, families, and community members. Members of Project Lifesaver wear a personalized wristband taht emits a tracking signal. When a caregiver notifies the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office that their loved on is missing, a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer's area and begins searching with the mobile locator tracking system.
